Environmental Management Policy
The natural environment is important not just for everyone on Earth today but also for our children and grandchildren in the future, who have the right to live in a good environment. Conscious of this responsibility, the company has set thorough measures to protect, control, and monitor environmental variables in strict compliance with related laws and regulations. The company will not take any action that will harm the environ-ment of the communities in which we do business, nor to harm the environment of our society, the nation and the Earth that we all share.

Ajinomoto has never ceased to develop our work process by applying more environmentally friendly technology. We promote sustainable conservation of natural resources and try to use the least possible non-renewable resources and energy while increasing recycling whenever possible. Most importantly, the company strives to instill a sense of environmental and social responsibility in all its employees through campaigns and training as well as joining in activities with other companies and governmental agencies.

The company’s unending efforts to improve environmental management have earned the company several environmental awards and certifications, listed as follows :
ISO14001 : the Phra Pradaeng Factory, Pathum Thani Factory, Kamphaeng Phet I Factory, Kamphaeng Phet II Factory, Nong Khae Factory, Lat Lum kaeo packing Factory and the Thai Technology and Engineering Center have all passed.
Excellence in Environmental Preservation Award from the Association of Environmental Engineers of Thailand in 1982 and 1983 was awarded to the Phra Pradaeng Factory.
Excellence in Environmental Conservation Award from the Ministry of Industry in 1983 was awarded to the Phra Pradaeng Factory.
"Excellence cooperation in river conservation and rehabilitation Award" from Rak Mae Rak Maenum Project of Ministry of Industry in 2009 was awarded to Pathum Thani Factory.
“Pathum Thani Factory has been invited to join Environmental Good Governance Project of Ministry of Industry in 2009 which will be applied in all area of Thailand.
"Biomass Project of Kamphaeng Phet has been approved to be cleaned development mechanism (CDM) by Thailand Green House Gas Management Organization (TGO) in 2009.
