The 7th Scholarship Presentation Ceremony “2011 Help Students Graduate”
Ajinomoto Foundation continual supports Thai education through “Help Students to Graduate Scholarship” On February 26, Ajinomoto Foundation led by Mr. Yoichiro Togashi and Mr.Phichien Koosmith, Vice Chairman and honorably joined by Assoc. Prof.Dr.Chavanee Thongroach, Senior Advisor for Local Wisdom Development ,The Office of the Higher Education Commission and Mr.Poompitch Varodomrujiranoon, Advisor of Vocational Education Standard (Business and Hospitality), Office of the Vocational Education Commission had joined “Help Students Graduate” scholarship presentation ceremony by delivering the scholarship and certificates to 286 scholar students from820 applicants from institute nationwide. Total scholarship valued 6,200,000 Baht. The activity was held at Eastin Makkasan Hotel, Bangkok.In the afternoon, the foundation had organized the special session for the scholars, starting from “Special Lecture on conceptual thinking and experience sharing” by Mr. Phichien Koosmith, Vice Chairman, “Student Internship Program” by Ms. Isara Chairatsuban and “Prepare yourselves to enter to working life” by Mr.Pathompong Jongagsorn, HR Dept., Ajinomoto Co.,(Thailand) Ltd. To prepare the readiness of all scholars on their perspectives, attitudes including internship before entering the working life in the future.Ajinomoto Foundation envisioned on the importance of education at all level and initiated “Help Students Graduate” scholarship to continual support undergraduate students who hold excellent academic record while facing financial troubles since 2006. This year is the first year to expand the granted opportunity to vocational students in order to cover more needy students and being the strong commitment of Ajinomoto Foundation in supporting educational development at all level for Thai society.
