Ajinomoto Inspires Hope on World Environment Day Through “HOPE TALK”, Empowering the Next Generation to Turn Climate Concerns into Meaningful Action
In celebration of World Environment Day, Ajinomoto Thailand joined forces with SPRiNG and LOOPERS to inspire hope and collective action through HOPE TALK: Climate Change, Who MADE CHANGE?, a public forum designed to encourage fresh perspectives on climate change by shifting the conversation from fear and uncertainty to hope, possibility, and action.
The event brought together changemakers, young people, and sustainability advocates to explore how every individual can become part of the solution. By fostering open dialogue and shared experiences, HOPE TALK reinforced the belief that meaningful and lasting change begins with the everyday actions of ordinary people.
As a representative of the private sector, Ajinomoto shared its perspective on advancing sustainability through responsible business practices and consumer engagement. The company emphasized that addressing climate change is not the responsibility of any single organization or sector but requires collaboration across society.

During the panel discussion, Mr. Smith Phetdi, Sustainability Promotion Department, shared an inspiring message:
"Creating a sustainable future does not require extraordinary actions or waiting until everything is perfect. It begins with small, everyday choices. When millions of people consistently make those choices together, they become a powerful force for positive change for our communities, our society, and our planet."
One of the event's highlights was the Grab & Go ECO-Keychain Workshop, organized under Ajinomoto's Waste to Worth for Well-Being initiative. Participants were invited to bring three used multilayer packaging sachets, commonly known in Thailand as "MLP," or three plastic bottle caps to create their own upcycled keychains. The workshop demonstrated how materials often perceived as waste can be transformed into valuable new products while introducing participants to the principles of the Circular Economy through an engaging and hands-on experience.

The Waste to Worth for Well-Being initiative reflects Ajinomoto's commitment to promoting responsible post-consumer packaging management, particularly for Multi-Layer Packaging (MLP), which is difficult to recycle through conventional methods. By encouraging consumers to collect, separate, and return used packaging for appropriate treatment or energy recovery, the initiative helps reduce landfill waste while maximizing resource efficiency in line with Circular Economy principles.
Guided by the Ajinomoto Group Creating Shared Value (ASV) philosophy, Ajinomoto is committed to creating social and environmental value through its business while inspiring people to take part in building a more sustainable future. The company believes that even the smallest actions, when taken together, can create meaningful and lasting change for future generations.
