"Multi-Purpose Shelves Made from Used Plastic Packaging" is a sustainability promotion initiative by Ajinomoto. It focuses on managing post-consumer plastic waste and reusing it beneficially under the “Waste to Worth for Well-Being” project. We are making every effort to solve plastic waste issues in order to create a sustainable society. This is achieved by adding value to these plastic waste materials through recycling them into new items. The intention is to transform leftover plastic into practical designs. Moreover, we encourage consumers to participate in waste reduction through appropriate sorting and management of plastic packaging waste after consumption. The project repurposes these leftover materials following the circular economy model, which promotes sustainability by maximizing the use of limited resources. This aims to reduce the problems caused by landfilling or incineration, which create environmental pollution. By doing so, we are helping to reduce the impact on the global environment sustainably.

"The above-mentioned project is established as a short-term pilot initiative supported by the marketing department of “RosDee®” flavor seasoning products. The campaign encourages consumers to return used “RosDee®” pouches for recycling, serving as the starting point for reducing environmental waste, rather than disposing of them. It utilizes a prize incentive mechanism to encourage participation. During the initial phase from January to February, more than 25,000 pieces of used plastic packaging, specifically seasoning sachets (RosDee), were collected from participating stores. These were then processed into recycled materials, transformed into synthetic wood, and manufactured into multipurpose shelves for general use. A total of 40 sets were produced and distributed to support educational institutions as part of their pilot program. Two schools, namely Prathomnonsee School and Hirunphong Anuson School, have received these shelves to benefit their educational endeavors, supporting quality learning and youth development, which is a crucial cornerstone for national development. This initiative leads to sustainable development in all dimensions and creates sustainable well-being and happiness in Thai society."
