Ajinomoto driving the business towards sustainability in Thai society together with TBCSD Members on Eco-friendly business field trip [TBCSD Trip]

          Ajinomoto Co., (Thailand) Ltd., led by Mr. Sornchai Kusonjai, Director, together with Mr. Sireethus Saovaro, Sustainability Promotion Department Manager, attended the TBCSD Trip along with TBCSD Members from 43 organizations visited eco-friendly business at Rayong province to express cooperation and emphasize the goal of driving the business towards sustainability on April 28, 2023. 

          Thailand Business Council for Sustainable Development (TBCSD) was established in November 1993 with high profile business leaders. The objective of the TBCSD is to promote environmental awareness of business sector under the concept of "Sustainable Development" including collaborating with various network partners for a sustainable future of Thailand through Thailand Environment Institute Foundation (TEI) serves as the TBCSD’s Secretariat.

 

         
          Eco-friendly business field trip [TBCSD Trip] will be conducted twice a year by Thailand Environment Institute Foundation (TEI) to drive cooperation networks of sustainable economic development, take care of the society, and conserve the environment together with TBCSD members which comprise Thailand’s over 43 members of leading business organizations in sustainable development covering all main industries of Thailand.
 

          During field trip, we visited to the Waste to Energy Learning Center of GPSC. The learning center offers the knowledge about waste sorting processes with an attempt to provide the correct understanding of how to sort the waste before being converted into refuse derived fuel or RDF at the RDF power plant. Thereby, the Waste to Energy Learning Center in Nam Khok Sub-district, Mueang Rayong District, is considered the first comprehensive waste management model project in Rayong Province and visited to the i2P (Ideas to Products), a hub for ideas and innovation developments to uncover solutions that meet the needs of clients, consumers, and environmental protection along with visited to the Flora Exhibition Hall, which certified green building platinum level according to the Thai Energy and Environmental Sustainability Assessment Criteria (TREES-NC) from the Thai Green Building Institute (TGBI) including visited to ENVICCO, The largest Integrated line of plastic recycling plant in Southeast Asia.
 

         TBCSD members have significant cooperation to accelerate the transition to a sustainable world by express the cooperation power of Thai business sector and emphasize the goal of driving the business towards sustainability together.
 

          Furthermore, Ajinomoto aims to support the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Company integrates these goals into its business operations to ensure that the Company’s growth takes place in a sustainable manner. As above-mentioned, “Be the part of cooperation power of Thai business sector together with TBCSD members” consistent with sustainable development goals No.17 Partnerships for the Goals; Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
