Recently, Ms. Paweena Kalapakdee, GA Department Manager of Ajinomoto Co., (Thailand) Ltd. and Director of Si Ayutthaya Real Estate Co., Ltd., representative of the Green Office Committee, received the G-Green National Excellent Level (Gold G) Award from Mr. Jatuporn Buruspat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. This is the highest accolade from the Green Office National Evaluation for 2023, under the Department of Climate Change and Environmental Affairs of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and the ceremony was held at the Rama Gardens Hotel, Bangkok.

The Green Office Committee (Head Office) has continuously received the Green Office National Project Award at the Excellence level (Gold) for the second year in a row. This award is presented by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to offices that effectively apply green office principles and conduct environmentally friendly activities. It is a source of great pride and underscores our commitment to conducting business while minimizing impacts and restoring the environment. We have implemented various policies to focus on efficient resource and energy management, systematically reducing operational waste, and decreasing greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs). Additionally, we have established relevant committees and working groups and promote employee participation in various activities, such as energy and resource conservation and waste reduction and sorting within the office. We aim to be a national model office and achieve our goal of reducing environmental impacts by 50% by 2030 to contribute to a sustainable society.

"Green Office” refers to offices and activities within the office that have the least impact on the environment. Si Ayutthaya Building has been evaluated and certified as a Green Office at the Excellence level by meeting the criteria set for green office evaluation. This evaluation focuses on six environmental management categories: Category 1: Policy establishment, operational planning, and continuous improvement; Category 2: Communication and awareness-building; Category 3: Resource and energy use; Category 4: Waste management; Category 5: Environment and safety; and Category 6: Environmentally friendly procurement.

The Green Office Award is a symbol of everyone's success, achieved through the synergy of all involved departments in reducing energy and resource consumption, as well as in managing and sorting office waste. Participating in the Green Office program can help lower office costs by using resources and energy efficiently and effectively. It also promotes good environmental management within the building, benefiting the health of employees and the surrounding community, and encourages the organization to contribute to the conservation of natural resources and the environment. This reinforces our vision of Leading in the Creation of Well-Being, which will guide us toward achieving our sustainability goals by 2030 and aligns with our core values of The Ajinomoto Group Creating Shared Value (ASV) and sustainable social contributions.
