         Ajinomoto Co., (Thailand) Ltd. recognizes the importance of being a sustainable organization. Therefore, Ajinomoto has been striving to drive the organization to be balanced in economic, social, and environmental dimensions as well as to join the member of Thailand Business Council for Sustainable Development (TBCSD) in 2021 to be a part of helping drive sustainable economic development, take care of the society, and conserve the environment. Which nowadays, Thailand Business Council for Sustainable Development (TBCSD) comprise Thailand’s over 43 members of leading business organizations in sustainable development covering all main industries of Thailand.

        Thailand Business Council for Sustainable Development (TBCSD) was established in November 1993 with high profile business leaders. The objective of the TBCSD is to promote environmental awareness of business sector under the concept of "sustainable development" including collaborating with various network partners for a sustainable future of Thailand through Thailand Environment Institute Foundation (TEI) which is one of the national and global top think tanks on environmental sustainability serves as the TBCSD’s Secretariat. In addition, TBCSD also has significant cooperation with 5 key national associations and organizations, namely 1) The Federation of Thai Industries, 2) The Thai Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade of Thailand, 3) The Securities and Exchange Commission, Thailand, 4) The Stock Exchange of Thailand and 5) Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) to drive sustainable development of the business sector toward and transition to the low-carbon society, while supporting various national agendas on sustainable development. which TBCSD is committed “Accelerate the transition to a sustainable world by making more sustainable businesses in Thailand more successful”.





          Ajinomoto reinforces the intention to promote sustainability by collaborating with TBCSD members and relevant agencies to express the cooperation power of Thai business sector and emphasize the goal of driving the business towards sustainability together through Policy Development in Thailand, Raising Public Awareness of Cultural and Environmental Issues and business activities including to be special lecturer on sustainability and environmental topics with leading business organizations and sustainability agencies continuously. As a global leading food and beverage business, Recently, Ajinomoto attended TBCSD Climate Action Seminar as special lecturer in topic of Low Carbon and Sustainable Business as well as declare the commitment together with TBCSD Members in TBCSD Annual Council Meeting 2022 as stated by Mr. Ichiro Sakakura, President of Ajinomoto Co., (Thailand) Ltd., was also shared via the online system, mentioning that 

          "Ajinomoto Co., (Thailand) Ltd. is making every effort to create a sustainable society. We have defined two outcomes: extension of healthy life expectancy and reduction of environmental impact. We are transforming to a company that solve food and health issues in order to lead in creation of Well-Being. And as a commitment, the Ajinomoto Group will achieve carbon neutrality by 2050."

          Furthermore, Ajinomoto aims to support the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Company integrates these goals into its business operations to ensure that the Company’s growth takes place in a sustainable manner.
