On February 8, 2026, Ajinomoto Co., (Thailand) Ltd. reinforced its commitment to the “Eat Well, Live Well” lifestyle by hosting the second aminoVITAL Run 2026 at Thammasat University, Tha Phra Chan. The event attracted more than 4,500 runners and was led by celebrities Sky, Deaw, Puen, Krit, and Sea, together with Akira Akasaki, a Japanese runner who placed second at the 2025 Berlin Marathon and sixth in the marathon at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, along Bangkok’s iconic routes.

Growing Wellness Culture, Gen Z Running Fever, and Nutrition Focus

Thailand’s fitness culture is rapidly expanding, driven by rising health awareness, corporate wellness initiatives, and a strong calendar of community and destination-focused races. These factors are further strengthening Thailand’s position as a leading running destination in Asia and enhancing its global profile.

Running remains one of the most popular physical activities nationwide, reflecting a broader shift toward active and health-conscious lifestyles. According to the 2025 Garmin Connect Report, running continues to lead in participation, followed by walking and strength training. Notably, 71% of Gen Z respondents in Thailand run or jog regularly, while 47% use protein-based products to support their active lifestyles. As interest in fitness grows, runners are increasingly focused on nutrition and recovery to maintain consistency and reduce the risk of injury.3

Mr. Wonnarate Suckeeluk, Nutrition and Well-Being Division Manager of Ajinomoto Co., (Thailand) Ltd., said, “Running has become a part of everyday life, especially among the new generation who view fitness as a lifestyle. Building on this wellness trend, Ajinomoto hosted the second aminoVITAL Run 2026, expanding its signature run with leading wellness partners and a nutrition-focused, delicious food festival, following the strongly positive feedback from last year.”

He added, “As runners increasingly prioritize recovery and nutrition, aminoVITAL FIIT Clear Whey Protein was developed based on Ajinomoto’s ‘AminoScience’ expertise. This new whey protein is convenient, easy to drink, and fast absorbing, offering a solution well suited to modern, active lifestyles. aminoVITAL Run 2026 demonstrates that running is not just about crossing the finish line, but about building sustainable, healthy habits for everyday life.”
