Recently, Ajinomoto Co., (Thailand) Ltd., led by Dr. Thongdee Paso, Managing Director, and Mr. Smith Phetdi, Sustainability Promotion Department Manager, together with Mr. Chanum Chavanich, CEO & CO-Founder of Recycle Day Thailand, launched 17 MLP Drop-Off Points under the "Waste to Worth for Well-Being" campaign. This initiative aims to collect and manage packaging waste to effectively address plastic waste issues, reinforcing the company’s goal of reducing its environmental impact by 50% by 2030. The launch event was held at the Recycle Center, Megabangna, Bangkok.

Returning Packaging Waste for a Sustainable Society

The "Waste to Worth for Well-Being" initiative aims to promote producer responsibility in sustainable packaging management. To kick off the new year with a green campaign, Ajinomoto invites the public to participate in packaging waste collection, particularly multilayer plastics (MLP), which are difficult to recycle. These can be returned through 17 MLP Drop-Off Points and the Recycle Day platform, making waste separation easier and more accessible. This initiative also encourages households to separate waste at the source, helping to reduce landfill waste and prevent ocean pollution.

Turning Waste into Energy!

Based on the concept of transforming waste into value, the collaboration between Ajinomoto and Recycle Day aims to raise awareness and encourage households to separate waste at the source of origin after consumption. This initiative fosters responsible consumption behavior and helps reduce environmental pollution. All collected multilayer plastics (MLP) will be processed into refuse-derived fuel (RDF), promoting sustainability by maximizing resource utilization for the greatest benefit.

Every Collection... Makes the World a Better Place

Now, 17 MLP Drop-Off Points under the "Waste to Worth for Well-Being" initiative are available for the public to return multilayer plastics (MLP), including seasoning packets, instant drink sachets, instant noodle bags, snack packaging, rice bags, food wraps, frozen food bags, ziplock bags, candy wrappers, instant coffee bags, refill packs, cleaning product bags, pet food bags, and similar packaging materials. You can collect these multilayer plastics (MLP) and send them to Recycle Day through three convenient channels:

  1. Recycle Day Drop-Off Points at all 6 locations
  2. Multilayer Plastics (MLP) Drop-Off Points at all 11 Central shopping malls
  3. Mail to: #เก็บดีมีสุข, End Factory, Innovest Co., Ltd.
