Ajinomoto Thailand invited people to discover new perspectives on sustainable living through its participation in USE LOOP REPEAT 2026, organized by Loopers and OPEN HOUSE from 3–23 August 2026 at OPEN HOUSE, 6th Floor, Central Embassy. Through a series of engaging experiences, the event brought sustainability closer to everyday life and encouraged participants to turn ideas into action, from applying Circular Economy principles to giving new value to used materials to exploring more meaningful and responsible lifestyle choices for the new generation. The event also highlighted the connection between caring for the planet and creating Well-Being, demonstrating that sustainability can be reflected in both the choices we make and the way we live every day.

At the event, Ajinomoto Thailand brought the concept of “Small Stories. Big Change.” to life through a Talk Session and Round Table Talk featuring Mr. Smith Phetdi, Sustainability Promotion Department Manager, who encouraged the younger generation to see sustainability as something accessible and relevant to everyday life. Meaningful change does not always have to begin with large-scale projects. It can start with “small things we choose to do every day”, from paying greater attention to what is happening around us and using resources more thoughtfully to encouraging others to participate. When small actions are practiced consistently and shared with others, they can gradually become habits, inspire collective action, and create a broader impact.

Turning ideas into action, Ajinomoto Thailand also brought its “Waste to Worth for Well-Being” initiative to the event through “Reborn Stories by Ajinomoto x V Craft Thailand.” Participants were invited to bring used Multilayer Plastics (MLP) or plastic bottle caps and transform them into eco keychains through an upcycling workshop. The activity demonstrated the principles of the Circular Economy by shifting the perspective from seeing used materials as waste to recognizing their potential as valuable resources that can be given a new purpose.

The activity also created an inclusive space by involving people with visual impairments in facilitating the workshop, highlighting that sustainability extends beyond environmental protection. It also encompasses creating opportunities, enabling participation, and supporting the quality of life of people in society. Through this approach, the activity reflected the importance of building an Inclusive Society, where everyone can play a role in creating positive change.

In addition, the OPEN MARKET at the event brought together sustainable lifestyle brands, offering participants opportunities to experience more conscious approaches to consumption. From choosing products with greater meaning and extending the life of existing items to embracing reuse, the market demonstrated that sustainable living can begin with everyday choices and the value we place on the things we already have.

These activities reflected the philosophy of ASV (Ajinomoto Group Creating Shared Value), which seeks to create shared value by addressing social and environmental challenges while pursuing business growth. Under the “Waste to Worth for Well-Being” initiative, the concept goes beyond simply collecting waste. It is about “collecting value” by recognizing the potential of materials that may otherwise be considered useless and transforming them into new value for both people and the planet.
