Recently, Ajinomoto (Thailand) Co., Ltd., represented by Mr. Smith Phetdi, Sustainability Promotion Department Manager, collaborated with the Thailand Business Council for Sustainable Development (TBCSD) and the Thailand Environment Institute (TEI), along with member organizations from key industries in Thailand, to organize the “TBCSD Sustainable Business Forum.” The forum was part of the 4th International Conference on Environment, Livelihood, and Services (ICELS 2024). This event, organized by the Faculty of Environmental Science at Kasetsart University in collaboration with the Chaipattana Foundation and the Laem Phak Bia Environmental Research and Development Project under Royal Initiative, featured leading organizations sharing their visions to drive Thai businesses toward sustainability. It was held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.

The event was held as part of the international academic conference, bringing together representatives from key industries in Thailand to share knowledge and exchange experiences on promoting sustainable development through ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles. The discussion focused on the topic “Sustainable Development for Protecting Global Change,” including strategies for transitioning to sustainable organizations. The goal was to raise awareness of the importance of each sector's role in elevating Thai business standards to become sustainable, low-carbon enterprises in the future, with a strong commitment to creating shared value for society.

Mr. Smith Phetdi, Sustainability Promotion Department Manager, summarized by stating, “Sustainability efforts cannot be achieved by any single organization alone but require collaboration from all sectors, whether government, private, or consumer. Change is essential for building a sustainable future, serving as a driving force for all sectors to work together toward shared goals to achieve genuine results.”
