The " Eco Factory+SV Award” is conducted by the Department of Industrial Works, Ministry of Industry of Thailand, and will be provided to honor eco-industrial factories that are valuable to society, able to develop various activities of the factory with responsibility to the surrounding communities as well as respond to government policies that want to promote and develop eco-factories to support industrial investment in an industrial sector that drives the economy with standardized technology to help reduce environmental impact, while paying attention to safety operation in the factory along with taking care of community development so that the industrial sector can coexist with the community and society in a sustainable way.

The Ajinomoto Group is striving to work for climate resilience by conducting business in line with the Bio-Circular-Green Economy concept to reduce environmental impacts, starting from the procurement of raw materials, the production of products, waste management, efficient use of water resources, including actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, as well as the development of eco-friendly technology. The company also continuously invested in developing advanced technologies to support CO2 emission reduction, such as implementing "biomass boiler technology" that uses rice husks instead of fuel oil for production process, installing a "solar rooftop" inside the factory, constructing the "Biomass Cogeneration Power Plant", aiming to produce electricity from renewable energy sources, etc. This enables us to achieve a reduction of CO2 emissions by 180,000 tons in total per year, or the equivalent of carbon dioxide absorption by over 20 million trees, which emphasizes our conceptual framework of “Green Technology for better Earth” as a commitment achieved through all business activities in every establishment.

Ajinomoto Co., (Thailand) Ltd. aims to become "The most reliable food company in Thailand", contributing to sustainability by reducing environmental impacts and promoting better health and life under “The Ajinomoto Group Creating Shared Value: ASV" policy, to which we have adhered as always.
