Ajinomoto reinforces the intention to achieve Net zero emissions by 2050 through business activities at the 2023 TBCSD Annual Council Meeting
Mr. Kenji Harada, Vice President of Ajinomoto Co., (Thailand) Ltd. together with Council members of leading business organizations attended the TBCSD Council Meeting 2023. The event was organized by the Thailand Business Council for Sustainable Development (TBCSD) at Vibhavadee Ballroom A, B and C , Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok on Dec.6, 2023.
The main objective is to declare the intentions of driving business towards the Low Carbon and Sustainable Society especially commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions as the corporate net zero pathway along with listen to special lectures and acknowledge the potential future effects of global climate change including Thailand's Updated Nationally Determined Contribution Roadmap on Mitigation 2021 – 2030 (NDC Roadmap), as well as TBCSD's achievements in driving the economy, society, and environment towards sustainability throughout the year 2023
In addition, the commitment of Ajinomoto Thailand in VDO format, as stated by Mr. Ichiro Sakakura, President of Ajinomoto Co., (Thailand) Ltd., was also shared via the online system, mentioning that “Ajinomoto Co., (Thailand) Ltd. is making every effort to create a sustainable society. We have defined two outcomes: extension of healthy life expectancy and reduction of environmental impact. We are transforming to a company that solve food and health issues in order to lead in creation of Well-Being. And as a commitment, the Ajinomoto Group will achieve Net Zero by 2050.”
